But recently, a dramatic gender reveal ended in utter tragedy where people have been left both stunned and appalled over this tragedy.
The tragic incident occurred above the Caribbean Sea in the Nichupte Lagoon off the coast of Cancun in south-eastern Mexico on Tuesday this week. Where a couple wanted to celebrate gender reveal with their guests. The party involved them watch a light aircraft perform stunts while they were on a boat.
Footage of the plane flying around was captured and uploaded on Twitter and cheers from the crowd can be heard before someone screams “it’s a girl!” as the plane reveals the gender through a large banner.
Things didn’t go the way it was planned but ended up horribly when the plane suddenly plummets towards the water and disappears under the waves. The navy rushed to aid those involved in the crash. They recovered the pilot and the co-pilot from the water, but one sadly died during the rescue, while the other died while receiving first aid on dry land, according to Mexican news outlet
The parents-to-be and their guests were not harmed from the boat but they were only watching the performance to reveal the gender.
